Fats are known as the evil one. They have a very bad reputation in the world of nutrition because, well, they’re “fat.” However, your body actually needs them as they support brain health, eliminate inflammation, and more. There are tons of options that you don’t need to avoid, but there are also those that you have to stay away from.

Maybe high fat diet makes you dumber, only if it comes from the unhealthy processed foods. As you know, there are good unsaturated fats, such as omega 3s that come from fatty fishes, flaxseed, beans, avocado, nuts, olives. On the other hand, the unhealthy ones are the trans fat and saturated fats from processed foods. Examples include fast food, packaged chips, fried foods and more.
To be safe, just focus on healthy fats from plant foods because they will provide your body with the right nutrients, without wreaking havoc on health. Fatty fishes like salmon and mackerel may come with chemicals, as most bodies of water are polluted nowadays.
But of course, it’s best to consume everything in moderation.
